Thousands of Israelis have taken to the streets demanding the immediate resignation of the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu, early elections and the signing of a new prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas.
The initially peaceful rally quickly turned into clashes with police. Police forcibly pulled protesters out of the crowd and dispersed them with water cannons.
They were also dispersed by a cavalry unit. Police reported 16 people were detained
