Negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden began in Geneva. The Summit is being held at the Villa La Grange, where the Heads of State were personally met by the President of Switzerland. He welcomed the leaders of Russia and the United States and wished them productive negotiations. The sides shook hands.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken are currently with the Heads of State. After personal communication between the Presidents, the parties expect two rounds of talks in an expanded format. Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden will make statements at separate press conferences, following the results.
