"Russia and Belarus are sovereign, independent states," said Alexander Lukashenko. - One should proceed from this when making certain decisions. And as you can see, we have managed to build such allied relations, which no one else on the planet has ever known and does not know".
The President noted that the relations between the two countries, no matter how good they are, should be improved. But in any changes, innovations, one should remember first of all about the sovereignty and independence. "The system is common, similar, but there should be two sovereign, independent states," he pointed out.
As for some statements, including those in the media, that Belarus is allegedly losing its independence, the President said they are absolutely groundless. "All sorts of yapping and writing (I have just read a review that "everything, Belarus is losing its sovereignty"). We are not losing anything. You see that on this sovereign territory, which belongs to our people, only we make decisions and act only in conditions that are favorable for us," stated Alexander Lukashenko.
