The Ministry of Taxes and Duties Levies named the brands of cars, on which the transport tax may increase 10 times, writes BelTA.
According to the Tax Code, transport tax, including advance payments, is calculated at the rates increased 10 times for vehicles, which have been manufactured not more than three years since the year of their release, included in the list of vehicles of increased comfort, determined by the Council of Ministers.
A relevant draft government decision has been developed, which defines the list of vehicles of high comfort. The website of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties published a list of makes and models of cars that may fall under the innovation. They include entire model range of Aston Martin, Aurus, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, McLaren, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, some models of Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Land Rover, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota.
At present, the draft resolution of the Council of Ministers is being coordinated by the interested state bodies.
The Ministry of Taxes and Duties also noted that if the organization as of January 1, 2024 has vehicles of high comfort, recognized as an object of taxation of transport tax, it has to calculate and pay an advance payment of transport tax for the first quarter of this year in the amount of one-fourth of the annual taxable value.
