Konanykhin: It is natural for Belarus to be a space power along with Russia

Belarus has always been a space power. And the successful mission of Marina Vasilevskaya to the ISS is another confirmation of our success in this direction. Scientific continuity, extensive experience and close work within the framework of allied space programs allow Belarus to compete on equal terms.

Russian writer, engineer and space industry specialist Dmitry Konanykhin says that Belarus has never stopped being a space power. We remember Petr Klimuk and Vladimir Kovalenok. Oleg Novitsky, now Marina Vasilevskaya. Belarusians are our brothers, and it has never stopped.

The expert added that there was a period when there was a decline in the intensity of research, but the joint work of the presidents of Belarus and Russia led to the intensification of joint efforts.

"It is natural for Belarus to be a space power along with Russia, because we are together, we are a Union State, and it is absolutely normal. And the fact that there will be more such experiments and flights is normal. It was not normal that there was such a pause. I think we should congratulate everyone on the fact that normal, good work has begun," Mr. Konanykhin said.
