The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, First Deputy Defense Minister of Belarus, Viktor Gulevich took part in talks with First Deputy Defense Minister, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov. According to the Defense Ministry, the talks between the representatives of military departments took place during the official visit of Viktor Gulevich to Uzbekistan. The parties discussed the current state of bilateral military cooperation and outlined ways to intensify it in areas of mutual interest.
Viktor Gulevich also visited the Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and other educational institutions, where he was familiarized with the structure, tasks and system of training military personnel, educational material base and living conditions of students.
In addition, Viktor Gulevich took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument "Ode to Fortitude" in the Victory Park memorial complex.
