The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus warned that one should not give in to provocative messages coming in Telegram and told how to react to suspicious offers, BelTA reports with reference to the police department.
"Belarusians started to receive messages through Telegram with offers to commit terrorist acts: to shoot in shopping centers or mine buildings. First of all, such texts come to young people and schoolchildren," said the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Such facts should be immediately reported to the police. The law enforcers will conduct a thorough check.
"If such a mailing did come, you should fix the correspondence and identifiers, provide information to law enforcement, block the account and complain about it for spam and terrorism," - specified the order of actions in the law enforcement agency.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs asks parents to talk to their children and explain the danger of communicating with strangers on the Internet and the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of personal information. The Ministry of Internal Affairs recommends adults to ask children to ask them to immediately tell them about the incident and block the unfamiliar number when receiving such messages.
"Even Internet appeals to commit terrorist acts are particularly serious crimes and are severely punished," the Ministry of Internal Affairs warned.
