Meeting of Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of CIS Member States to be held on January 23

A meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member states to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth will be held on January 23 at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk. This is reported by BELTA.

It is planned that the meeting will be attended by CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin, who will present the concept of the Russian presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2024 and the action plan for its implementation.

The postpresidents will also discuss the activities of the Council for Interregional and Cross-Border Cooperation of the CIS member states in 2019-2023, consider the draft agenda of the next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth, which will be held on April 12 in Minsk. In addition, the members intend to approve the work plan of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries for 2024.
