Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia sign agreement on cooperation in aviation

Belarus and Russia will create a joint airplane. The agreement on cooperation in the field of aviation was signed today in Moscow.

A delegation led by our Prime Minister in the Russian capital. Roman Golovchenko and Mikhail Mishustin first met in a one-on-one format. Then they held negotiations in an extended format with the participation of the heads of the ministries of finance, economy and industry of the two countries. The main topics were industrial cooperation, joint projects in microelectronics, machine-tool construction, and agriculture. They also discussed mutual recognition of electronic digital signature. This will simplify the work of business and open the way for Belarusian enterprises to participate in government procurement. In addition, the countries will cooperate in the production of the twin-engine airplane Osvey.

Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Belarus:

“We have just recently adopted a comprehensive program of cooperation in aircraft construction between Belarus and Russia. The agreement will be signed on the organization of serial production of the twin-engine aircraft in the interests of national security and technological sovereignty of our states.”

Mikhail Mishustin congratulated the Belarusians on the successful flight into space, as well as on the launch of the Angara rocket from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, in the construction of which Belarusians took part.
