The Committee of the Parliament of Georgia supported the bill on foreign agents in the second reading.
According to a number of sources, a rally of supporters of the ruling Georgian Dream party in support of the law begins outside the walls of the Georgian parliament in Tbilisi.
The very procedure of passing the law was accompanied by a scandal. MP Dekanoidze threw a bottle at member of the parliamentary majority Macharashvili. The latter accused her of selling her country (together with Saakashvili) for a position in another state. Dekanoidze previously headed the National Police of Ukraine. Eight opposition MPs were removed from the hall, several others left the session in protest.
