Hamas and Israel reached a tentative agreement to extend the truce for two more days, Arab media reported. On the eve of the parties made the fifth exchange of hostages and prisoners. Ten people from the Palestinian side and 30 from the Israeli side were taken to the Rafah crossing point. In total, since the beginning of the temporary cessation of hostilities, Hamas has released 81 hostages, Israel - 180 prisoners. At the same time, "Al Jazeera" reports about the storming by the Israelis of the town of Jenin in the West Bank. It is also noted that the IDF is besieging local hospitals and conducting raids in residential neighborhoods.

The humanitarian situation in the enclave remains difficult. Due to shortages of fuel, medicine and supplies, as well as targeted attacks on hospitals and UN facilities, vital infrastructure has been damaged. And if the health system is not restored, more people risk dying from disease than from bombing, WHO warns.

Margaret Harris, WHO spokesperson:

“No medicine, no vaccine, no access to clean water and hygiene products, no food. We are seeing a very high number of cases of diarrhea among infants, they cannot be treated. You know that if a child has diarrhea, they need to drink a lot of water. If there is no water, babies can die very quickly from dehydration. We know of hundreds and thousands of people with various chronic diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and other chronic diseases.”
