Ukraine has started to embed its logistics routes into the infrastructure of the alliance. The section Chop - Uzhgorod is preparing for the implementation of the project for the construction of 22-kilometer railway gauge of European size. This will allow to connect Ukraine with Hungary and Slovakia by a single standard gauge. And global plans include extending it to Kharkov and Odessa.
Ukrainian and European officials insist that the project is civilian-oriented, but in reality it will make it possible to quickly move NATO troops and equipment to Russia's borders.
