Poland creates collapse on border with Belarus

12 апреля 2024

The Polish side has created a collapse at the border. Since the beginning of April, an increase in the queue of buses has been recorded in front of the checkpoint "Terespol" (neighboring "Brest").

On average, about 30 buses stand in front of the entrance to Belarus every day. That is, about 1.5 thousand passengers are forced to stay at the border for days. Regular and scheduled routes are not an exception. The control services of Poland purposefully ignore the norms of passage and clear only 40% of buses from the daily norm.

The border crossing "Terespol" is the only one functioning at the entrance from Poland to Belarus for this type of transport. For example, April 12, in the morning, only 4 buses out of 42 possible passed through the Polish territory for 6 hours. Despite the increased load and multi-kilometer queues, the Polish side is not taking action to resolve the situation. Apparently, the situation with the queues of buses will worsen as the vacation season approaches.

The State Border Committee of Belarus recommends to take this information into account when planning to cross the border with Poland. You can track the queues on the website of the agency and in the mobile application Border of Belarus.
