Flood of the century - more than 10 thousand residential houses and over 18 thousand plots flooded in the Orenburg Region

The Orenburg Region of Russia faces the largest flood in history. According to local authorities, more than 10 thousand residential houses and over 18 thousand plots were flooded. The Ural and Elshanka rivers have gone out of their banks. In Orsk, a local dam protecting the city failed to withstand the water pressure. Rescuers do not stop working. Evacuation from the flooded areas continues.
