13 августа 2017

Farmers have been tasked to have completed the harvesting campaign before 20 August. Our journalists will follow the harvesting progress, including its success and failures.

Problems that hamper the successful conduct of harvesting-2017 were discussed at the conference call of the President. Among them is the personnel issue. In less than a week, seven new chairpersons of district executive committees were appointed.

Alexander Poznyak, ex-assistant to the President in the Vitebsk region, is now the head of the Orsha district. Oleg Matskevich is now the first deputy chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee. The Soligorsk district will be led by Oleg Poskrobko, former first deputy minister of housing and communal services. Four new district heads were appointed in the Brest and Mogilev regions.

In all, 18 people have received new posts. They are leaders of local authorities, government bodies and major organizations. Appointments are made not only based on the needs of harvesting. The main task for the future is to raise the quality of people's lives to a fundamentally new level in the area of responsibility of each leader.
