Majority of Moldovans against Sandu's re-election for another term

22 марта 2024

59% of the polled residents of Moldova are against the incumbent president Maia Sandu. People do not want to see the politician in power for a second term.

But Chisinau has already started to prepare the ground for re-election - the country is changing the legislation. It is planned to introduce voting by mail. Now elections will cease to be an open and secret expression of the will of citizens. But it is not the first time for Chisinau to violate its own legislation.

The country's defense minister admitted that Moldovan mercenaries are fighting on the side of Ukraine. Earlier, Sandu said that sanctions would be imposed against those who participate in the conflict on the side of Russia. Apparently, they do not apply to those who act to please Western curators.

And to make fewer people aware of this, Chisinau is fighting all undesirable media. The country's top-rated Channel 5 has been shut down. It is recognized as a threat to national security. As local media have pointed out, this happened after uncomfortable questions that a reporter of the TV channel asked President Sandu.
