Lukashenko is confident that Belarus and Sri Lanka will find ways to intensify political dialog

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickramasinghe and the entire Lankan people on their national holiday - Independence Day, BELTA reports.

"Despite the recent challenges, Sri Lanka is gradually recovering from the economic crisis and realizing plans for social and sustainable development of the country," the message of greetings reads.

The head of state noted that Belarus and Sri Lanka have warm and constructive relations, trade is growing, business ties are expanding, and the number of Lankan students studying in Belarusian higher educational institutions is increasing.

"I am convinced that this year we will find ways to intensify political dialog, interaction in such sectors as agriculture, engineering, science and technology, pharmaceuticals, as well as in food supplies," the President emphasized.
