President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the Christians of Belarus celebrating Christmas on December 25. This is reported by BelTA with reference to the press service of the head of state.
"The bright light of the Star of Bethlehem calls all believers towards the most marvelous Christian holiday. It fills the heart with great joy and hope, inspires good deeds, teaches to show compassion and love for your neighbor," the message of greetings reads.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that Christmas is a time for sincere prayer in the church and heartfelt family parties, long-awaited children's gifts and conscious charity, summarizing results and making plans for the future.
"I am convinced that united by our loyalty to our native Belarus, together we will do our best to make each of its inhabitants feel in demand and happy," the President emphasized. - I wish you good health, success and optimism. May the wonderful atmosphere of these days become an inexhaustible source of spiritual strength for the coming year," the President stressed.
