During 2 days Minsk hosted the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the Summit of the Commonwealth. According to the Head of the Belarusian State our country has performed all its obligations related to integration for the benefit of people. High guest pointed to perfect preparation of the summit by the Belarusian side. The experts said that a number of decisions taken in Minsk were historical. The meeting confirmed the interest of the post-Soviet space in integration. The parties are looking for new avenues for partnership and compromises for the sake of lifting any barriers. The guests were received in the new Place of Independence constructed in just 29 months. The leaders unveiled the Walk of Honorary Guests near the Palace. The success of CIS depends only on joint efforts. Alexander Lukashenko called partners to adopt additional mechanisms to build economic interaction. The Belarusian leader also called for more cooperation in international activities. Belarus has initiated over 70 CIS events related to economic partnership, security and inter-regional cooperation. Belarus believes in the future of the Commonwealth, said Alexander Lukashenko. The countries can cooperate in building competitive economies and raising living standards. The agenda of the summit included 14 issues. The Presidents had to endorse programs on fighting terrorism, trafficking in drugs and human beings. They are also eager to fight corruption and cyber crimes. The leaders also announced 2015 the year of veterans.
