Belarus and Russia are building a Union State that can attract other countries. This thesis was voiced by President of Belarus at a meeting with Governor of Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev. It is hard not to agree with the Belarusian leader: the Western sanctions pressure allowed Minsk and Moscow to resolve all disputes and focus on close economic cooperation.

We have already built several major facilities with Voronezh, and there are plans for industrial cooperation, agriculture, and more.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:

“Practice shows that the cooperative projects lay a strong foundation for long-term relations and produces a good integration effect. When opening joint production facilities, for instance, we aim to increase the degree of localization, which will guarantee the creation of new jobs in the region. Naturally, we would be able to sell the products that the region and maybe even Russia as a whole need, and maybe even sell it to third countries. Obviously, one of the leading topics is cooperation in the construction sector. You know how Belarusian builders may work, you have already seen it. I must say, everyone has learned how to work today. They work well in construction, but Belarus probably has no equals in terms of price and quality, and the culture of construction is already at an appropriate level.”

By the way, Governor Alexander Gusev was very interested in our industrial giants: MAZ and BelAZ. The issue of supplying passenger transport to Voronezh, including the electric vehicles, has actually been resolved.
