Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine holds meeting in Minsk

12 апреля 2017

The situation in eastern Ukraine is improving, but still remains unsatisfactory, as announced by OSCE Representative Martin Sajdik following today's meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine. In addition to security issues, one of the main discussion topics was releasing the citizens held by the parties to the conflict. Martin Sajdik expressed hope that the ceasefire agreements reached at the previous meeting of the Contact Group would be observed during the upcoming Easter holidays. As a result of today's meeting, the negotiators officially declared their adherence to the truce.

Next Minsk format meeting is scheduled for late April.
