On the second day of his working visit to the Russian Federation, Alexander Lukashenko arrived at the Kremlin and answered journalists' questions before the official event dedicated to the Day of Cosmonautics. In particular, on Ukraine, the President of Belarus emphasized that today is the time to sit down at the negotiating table and come to an agreement.

"The principle is the same, Putin is good in this regard (he does not deviate from his previous statements): there are documents (developed earlier as a result of peace talks in Belarus and Turkey), they have been initialed by both the Russian and Ukrainian sides. Let's go back to these documents and dance from them. Or let us stop at the principles laid down in the documents. Is it wrong? Right," said the Belarusian leader.

"Therefore, it is a very good moment for Ukraine and Ukrainian curators to make a decision. It should be taken. I understand the President of Russia, he reasonably does it. This is a litmus test. If you want to negotiate, go ahead, we are open, we agree. Here are the documents, let's sit down at the table. Let's not turn it around further, let's dwell on what was in those documents at the time. Or, based on the documents, we go further and look for some compromises. If after that there is no reaction from Ukraine and the West, it means that they simply do not want peace in Ukraine. The Russian side has put the question very reasonably. I fully support it," said Alexander Lukashenko.
