The key to the successful development of Belarus lies in the effective work of all branches of power and successful implementation of all decisions taken by them. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the deputies of the House of Representatives and members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation, BelTA informs.
According to the head of state, the adopted constitutional innovations in terms of redistribution of powers between the President, Parliament, Government, local governments and self-governments are aimed at ensuring that all branches of power work effectively, fully perform their functions, independently make decisions and, very importantly, are responsible for their implementation.
"This is the key to further successful development of our country," Alexander Lukashenko said.
The President noted that the adoption of amendments to the Constitution required harmonization of about 90 laws. This responsible, painstaking work lasted almost two years.
"We have brought the laws into compliance, balanced the laws and decrees. But we should not forget that there are also departmental acts of state bodies. I think that the government will organize work to bring them in line with higher regulations. The government needs to solve this task," the head of state said.
