At the meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Belarus, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko once again addressed the topic of elaboration of the state ideology in the country, BELTA reports.
"I support the proposal of Vadim Gigin, Director General of the National Library, that we need to develop a state ideology. And, of course, we will discuss at the highest level - at the All-Belarusian People's Assembly - a concept, perhaps. Perhaps some concrete plans. Or maybe this theory completely - the state ideology. If it works out," said the head of state. - But I have always said that we should not rush here. If we already feel that we have this concept of at least a state ideology, then, perhaps, we should implement it without hesitation. But there should be no mistake."
"This state ideology should seize the entire nation. And there will no longer be elite and peasants and workers - it should seize all the people," emphasized Alexander Lukashenko.
