Belarusian delegation led by Lukashenko starts work in World Climate Summit in UAE

The delegation of Belarus has already started working in the UAE within the framework of the World Summit on Climate Change. This was stated by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Anatoly Glaz, reports BelTA.

"As you know, our delegation, headed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, has already arrived in the UAE and started its work within the framework of the World Summit to Combat Climate Change," said Anatoly Glaz. - Bilateral meetings have already taken place, and there will be more of them in the coming days".

As part of the preparations for the participation of the head of our delegation, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Aleinik together with his Egyptian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, held a brief meeting with the Chairman of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.

A country statement by the President of Belarus is scheduled for the high-level segment.

The event is attended by Heads of State and Government of more than 140 countries. According to the organizers, more than 80 thousand participants of the forum have registered so far, including members of national delegations, experts, analysts, and media representatives.
