Belarus and Russia cherish the history of the Great Patriotic War and honor the memory of those who defended our homeland. Therefore, May 9 is an important date for every Belarusian and Russian.
And today, when our countries are again subjected to both economic and political pressure from European neighbors, the role of the Union State is only growing. The main purpose of this union is for the citizens of the two countries to sleep peacefully. This opinion was shared with the TV channel "Belarus 1" by Pavel Feldman, candidate of political sciences, associate professor of the Academy of Labor and Social Relations.

“The Union State of Russia and Belarus is the strongest association in the entire post-Soviet space. Nevertheless, both states that are part of this integration association retain their sovereignty and develop as their people, not someone from outside, deem proper. But the main thing is to understand the economic interests and strength under any integration union. That is the real military power behind the union of Russia and Belarus.”
