The head of state adopted a decision on the proposal of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and other relevant authorities to introduce a visa-free regime for fans during the II CIS Games. This was stated by Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesman Anatoli Glaz during the meeting with foreign journalists, BelTA informs.

According to the representative of the Foreign Ministry, this practice has already been tried out at the II European Games and the "Slavianski Bazaar. "Against the background of aggressive policy to limit the communication between people, we are, on the contrary, trying to open up to neighboring countries, to show how we live and invite visitors. In this regard, we will introduce a visa-free regime for residents of neighboring countries, for fans at the II CIS Games," said Anatoly Glaz.

"We understand perfectly well that now sport is extremely politicized and enriched with the most base political qualities. We want to make and will make a holiday of real sport, where people will compete and figure things out in sports arenas. We will give a holiday, unmarred by visas and other restrictions. We are waiting for all the guests, it once again confirms our hospitality," says Foreign Ministry spokesman.

From June 25 to July 1 foreign journalists go on a press tour to Belarus in anticipation of the II CIS Games. The press tour involves 14 journalists from Russia, China, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. Today the delegation visited "Dynamo" stadium in the capital city, where track and field competitions will be held as part of the Games.
