The basic provisions have remained unchanged. The military doctrine, most importantly, has retained its defensive nature, defensive orientation, as our main thing is to ensure the security of our country, to ensure peace.

At the same time, the document has a clearly expressed targeted nature. "When assessing the trend of development of the military and political situation, we have already openly named the sources of threats to national security, which today really threaten the independence and security of our country - the Republic of Belarus. We are talking about the actions of the subjects of international law, their views, their attitudes to the use of military force, including how it may affect the security of our country if this military force is used against Belarus. We would very much like to live in peace with everyone, to build good-neighborly, friendly relations with everyone. The risks, challenges, and threats to the military security of our country are clearly outlined.
