Belongings of Seraphim of Sarov can be seen by guests of festival "Joy"

Things that belonged to Serafim Sarovsky, such as bast shoes, biretta and stole, are on display at the St. Elisabeth Monastery's Church. They will be there until the end of April.

Unique items, as well as the icon with a piece of relics of the saint, were brought to the Belarusian capital by the nuns of the Holy Trinity Seraphim Monastery of Diveevo. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day believers can lay their hands on spiritual rarities associated with the life of one of the most revered Orthodox saints. The event coincides with the opening of the festival "Joy", which traditionally started in the capital.

The traditional and most popular part of the "joy" festival is the exhibition-fair, which presents churches and monasteries of the forum member countries. This year the guests of Belarus are Orthodox Christians from Russia, Greece, Serbia, Syria, Palestine and Moldova. The festival presents stands of parishes and the whole Belarus.
