House of Representatives standing committees working on 19 bills

There are 19 bills in the parliamentary portfolio in the works. 10 of them have already passed all the necessary procedures of coordination and are ready for consideration, the rest will be considered before the end of the first session. This was told by the vice-speaker of the parliamentary body Vadim Ipatov on April 16 at a meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives.

One of the important issues to be considered by the parliamentarians is the draft law on suspension of Belarus' participation in the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe. The agenda of the session includes social bills on employment and protection of families with children.

Vadim Ipatov, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus:

“We will consider bills that regulate the issues of relations between the government of Belarus and the government of Equatorial Guinea, for example, on double taxation, on investment protection. In addition, we will consider a bill that regulates the agreements between the governments of Belarus and the UAE on counter-terrorism.”

Also, the Council of the House of Representatives adopted a statement in connection with the International Day of Monuments and Historic Sites. Parliamentarians call on the states to honor their international obligations and stop destroying monuments dedicated to the heroism of the Soviet people.
