Today, the KGB held a tactical-special exercise at Minsk National Airport. According to the legend, terrorists captured a Boeing-737. In the building of the airport, an operational headquarters was set up. It included the staff of the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus. When the captured plane was able to land, the soldiers of the special unit Alfa stormed it successfully.
The second active phase of the exercise took place on the landing strip, too. According to the plan, two terrorists tried to leave the airport together with hostages. This time, members of the special rapid deployment force dealt with the situation. As a result, there were no casualties.
In addition to the KGB officers, representatives of other departments also took part in the tactical-special exercise. Emergency units put out fire in the aircraft, medical personnel hospitalized the victims, and investigators interrogated the terrorists.
