Minsk greets Brazil on 200th anniversary of independence

Integration instead of isolation. Western sanctions favor rapprochement of the countries hit by the restrictive measures. The 200th anniversary of Independence of Brazil was celebrated in Minsk. The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, ministries and agencies, as well as political and public figures. In his opening speech , the Ambassador of Brazil to Belarus noted, that our there is a fertile ground for an exchange of experience for the benefit of both sides.

Bernard Jörg Leopold de Garcia Klingl, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to Belarus: During my stay in Minsk, which I hope will be long, I would like to overcome the stereotypes and clichés that often arise between countries that are far from each other, and to deepen our cooperation in various areas. And I'm not just talking about trade, which is strategically important for us, and for international food security in general, but also in areas like  agriculture, science and culture. I am pleased to inform you that Brazil is open to you. A reciprocal visa-free regime has been in effect between our countries since 2016.

"Our goal is to build bridges, provide synergies and create opportunities that benefit Brazil and its partners," stressed the Ambassador.
