Belarus expands opportunities for young people to get soft loans for consumer goods purchase

On March 14, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 95, which improves the provision of young professionals and young people under the age of 31 with soft loans for the purchase of household goods, reports BelTA with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

In accordance with the document, the maximum amount of loans has been increased from Br5.5 thousand to Br12.2 thousand. The list of goods available for purchase on credit has been expanded (now it includes all the goods produced in Belarus).

The right to receive a loan has been extended to graduates who have independently found employment in rural areas, who have received vocational education, as well as those who have voluntarily entered the military service under contract.

The circle of organizations, employment in which gives the right to receive a soft loan has been expanded (it includes all state organizations and organizations with 50% or more state ownership).

At the same time, the responsibility of the borrower in case of non-fulfillment of the mandatory deadline for distribution has been strengthened - there will be recalculation of the amount of interest for the use of the loan.
