During these days, experts emphasized the need to protect themselves and their relatives from dangerous infections. The lowest rate of infections today is recorded in Brest Region. During the period of vaccination against coronavirus, 890,000 people have already received the first vaccination. That's almost 68% of the population. And 64% of the region's residents have fully completed the course. Now doctors note the decline in the incidence of COVID-19. Thus, for the first time during the pandemic, Brest City Central Hospital has already stopped accepting patients with coronavirus.

Marina Shilovich, head of the Brest Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health:
Vaccination is the most effective method of preventing infectious diseases. In addition to the fact that it helps prevent infectious diseases, it reduces mortality from infectious diseases and severe after-effects of the disease.Brest Region is also a leader in terms of rates of vaccination of children: 38% of young residents of the region have already been vaccinated against COVID-19.
