9 scientific and technical programs of Union State planned to be implemented in 2024

Further areas of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation were discussed today at the National Academy of Sciences. Deputy State Secretary of the Union State Alexei Kubrin told reporters that 9 joint scientific and technical programs will be simultaneously implemented in 2024. The funding is increased by 38%. Three programs are high-tech. All of them are focused on import substitution, but there are also breakthrough programs unique for the whole world. For example, the biomembrane technology in medicine.

Alexei Kubrin, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State:

“If this program is implemented in full, we will get technologies, technological prerequisites for those medicines that will be developed with these technologies to hit specifically on certain viruses, bacteria, but at the same time minimize the impact on other elements and human organs.”

Scientific and technological achievements of the Union State were recently discussed during the meeting of the Supreme State Council in St. Petersburg. At the same time they approved the strategy for the development of the sphere until 2035. It is a basic document for planning activities aimed at ensuring security, strengthening scientific and technological sovereignty, and solving socio-political and socio-economic problems of the two countries.
