The official visit of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Uzbekistan has come to an end. What were the main assignments given by the leaders of Belarus and Uzbekistan and what did the presidents "charged" the government? Leonid Marinich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan, told about it in the project "Question Number One".

"A frank conversation took place. From our side, all the ministers who came were present, and from the Uzbek side there was an expanded composition, i.e. all the ministries and agencies took part," he said.

All the problematic issues of bilateral relations were discussed (by the way, there are practically none). At the same time, all the issues arising in the process were also discussed and solved.

Tasks were set to expand Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation. Emphasis was placed on the creation of joint ventures in the machine-building industry, in particular, on the production of BELAZ and MAZ. The Belarusian Industry Minister has been tasked to set up a joint venture to assemble BELAZ in Uzbekistan. Such enterprises are also planned to be created jointly with Minsk Tractor Plant and MAZ.

"Emphasis was placed on joint production cooperation," Marinich said.

The ambassador emphasized: today, in the conditions of fierce competition, there is an exit to the Uzbek market. The Uzbek side is not shutting down, but says that the production cooperation is being developed.
