Sikorski: EU countries will gain their own nuclear weapons

A bellicose statement was made by Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski in an interview with Bloomberg. He warned that European countries may engage in the creation of their own nuclear weapons. According to him, Washington's refusal of unconditional military support to the EU leaves no other option. As of today, Britain and France have their own atomic bomb. The other states of the Old World have assumed obligations under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The emergence of any new nuclear power within the EU will break the strategic balance of power on the continent and provoke a new round of confrontation fraught with nuclear war. At the same time, there are virtually no technical obstacles to the creation of a bomb. Any state can easily produce it today.
