Hotlines State Control Committee and Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade start working today

6 апреля 2020
The main issues monitored by the MART are in the consumer market. The availability of goods in high demand is a pressing issue, and the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has opened a hotline. One can use it to report the name and address of the shopping facility where a significant price jump was recorded. Up to 200 calls were received on April 2, twice as many today. The leaders in complaints are increased prices on ginger, lemons and garlic. Preliminary results will be ready by the end of the week.

In order to protect consumers and make products available to them, Belarus has also introduced a restriction on price increases from manufacturers and suppliers of goods and services - no more than 0,5% per month. This concerns both public and private enterprises. It is also forbidden to export buckwheat, onion and garlic from the country.

The hotline of the State Control Committee started working today. The availability of goods in the retail network and the increase in prices will be monitored during the week. Residents of all regions and Minsk, as well as employees of trade enterprises, can inform about problematic issues in the consumer market. Calls are accepted from 10 am to noon. The phone number of the hotline: +375 17 327 54 09.
