Decision to protect state border of Belarus in 2024 approved by Alexander Lukashenko

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has approved the decision on the protection of the state border by the Border Guard Service in 2024, BelTA informs.

Major General Konstantin Molostov, chairman of the State Border Committee, said in his report that all the orders and instructions given by the head of state to the border service bodies in 2023 have been fulfilled. The situation on the state border remains stably tense, but at the same time predictable and controllable.

Based on the results of the report, the Head of State approved the decision on the protection of the state border by the border guard bodies in 2024.

In 2024, priority efforts in border protection will be focused on measures to identify and suppress challenges and threats to the national interests of Belarus in the border space, ensure visa-free regime for citizens of Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland, and further increase the engineering arrangement of the state border.

Construction and commissioning of new complexes of border units and border infrastructure facilities, further development and equipping of maneuvering groups with modern weapons and equipment will continue. Improvement of combat and professional training of border service bodies, training material and technical base, further development of the officer training system are also a priority.
