The control panels of traffic lights in the capital gain unusual appearance. About 80 controllers have already been painted in urban style: sketches on urban themes replace the standard gray color of the equipment. Now they almost merge with the landscapes in the background.
There are nearly 800 traffic light sites in the capital. Most of them are united by a common program. In the traffic control center they calculate the duration of signal on each traffic light, distributing the density of the traffic flow according to special formulas (depending on the traffic situation). Every year, the traffic patterns are improved: special attention is paid to new areas in order to optimize traffic.
