Why will Western funds for Ukrainian conflict lead to new victims?

30 апреля 2024

The U.S. is accustomed to fighting with other people's hands around the world and continue to fuel the Ukrainian conflict by supplying weapons. Moreover, Washington is interested only in its own benefit. What is the new package of pseudo-aid to the "non-independent country"? And what will the money of American taxpayers be spent on?

The long-suffering US bill on multi-billion dollar military aid to the Kiev regime. Attempts to expand the conflict zone and commitment to the goal of fighting to the last Ukrainian. Why will the West's new means lead to new casualties?

Let's consider all the political elements and set the stage.

A logical conclusion and another confirmation that the West does not care about the future of Ukraine. They are only interested in fighting Russia. And that is why Washington is making every effort to make the conflict last as long as possible. Biden signed the law on additional aid to Ukraine. Before that, the package of bills was approved by the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Democrats did not hide their desire to fight "to the last Ukrainian". On the contrary, they applauded, waving the flags of the "independent Ukraine". The following images look like a theater of the absurd, but they are from the hall of the House of Representatives.

Tucker Carlson, journalist (USA):

But do they really love Ukraine? Ask anybody in this room, "How many Ukrainians, how many soldiers, how many civilians have died in the war that you're funding?" And not one of them will be able to answer you. They don't know how many Ukrainians have died. They have no idea because they don't care. That's how much they love Ukrainians.

They tried to make a scapegoat Tucker Carlson for the truth. Senator Mitch McConnell said that a journalist who allegedly started "demonizing Ukraine" after an interview with the Russian President was to blame for the delay in approving the bill. The Republicans tried to slow down the procedure of pseudo-aid to the "non-Soviet republic" by proposing various amendments. For example, they demanded that a provision be added to the law prohibiting the allocation of money to Nazis from Azov. One of the amendments sounded like this: a congressman who would support the law would be obliged to join the AFU and go to the front. The ideas, as expected, were rejected. So what will the money be spent on?

More than half of the U.S. aid package to Ukraine will be spent on itself - Al Jazeera informs. Kiev will receive only a part of the $61 billion and mostly on credit. 23 billion will be used to replenish US ammunition - to replace the ones already supplied to Ukraine. Another nearly 14 billion - for the purchase of military equipment from U.S. contractors and other countries. "Less than 8 billion will be transferred to Ukraine for budgetary support, excluding the payment of pensions."

Donald Trump, U.S. presidential candidate:

We are not respected around the world, we have a worthless economy.

But even hard-won funds are not enough. US approval of the new aid package is unlikely to help Kiev change the situation on the battlefield, Bloomberg news agency informs. It's no coincidence that the vote came just days after Zelensky signed the mobilization bill into law.

Julian Repke, military columnist for Bild (Germany):

“All the American money, all the Western support, all the German weapons won't help if Ukraine doesn't mobilize another 250,000 soldiers, at least to reinforce the too weakly manned front.”

The West is not going to let go of the juicer handle it has driven Ukraine into in the hope of getting the elixir of former dominance. Except that multipolarity has long been the trend.
