Belarus is open for cooperation in all spheres without exception. Minsk and Omsk discussed the economic plans for the near future. The delegation of the Russian region was welcomed in the Palace of Independence today.
Omsk Region is one of the most developed territories of Siberia, a powerful industrial center. We intend to develop the economic potential together with Belarusian partners. Moreover, we have a lot in common, the President is sure: developed industry, agrarian sector, forestry, science. Last year, Belarus ranked fourth among the foreign trade partners of the Russian region, but it intends to squeeze the leaders. And for this there is a mutual desire and, most importantly, opportunities to work together. Alexander Lukashenko noted that the presidential election campaign in Russia has been conducted in a worthy manner. The time is not easy today. The terrorist attack in Moscow Region is a confirmation of that.
"But, as time shows, we should not relax in any case. We will be tilted, rocked, brought to our knees. We talked about this with President Putin on the eve of the presidential election. We will not be given a quiet life, and the stories will be more and more complicated, as the recent events in Moscow suburbs have shown, unfortunately," said the head of the Belarusian state.
The President pointed out that in this difficult time the governors also bear a special burden of responsibility, including for security.
