Belarusian military to demonstrate new weapons to OSCE representatives

5 июля 2018

The Belarusian military will demonstrate new weapons to the OSCE representatives. The event will be held within the framework of the Vienna Document. According to this agreement, countries annually exchange information on military forces, budgets, and defence planning. This year, representatives of 19 OSCE states, as well as the Conflict Prevention Centre, will visit Belarus.

Oleg Voinov, the head of the International Military Cooperation Department, Assistant to the Defence Minister of Belarus: "Within the framework of international agreement, we are obliged to show new models of weapons and equipment that we are developing, thus providing an opportunity for all OSCE countries to see our work personally. This event will eliminate many questions and the mistrust that may sometimes arise, so as a result we will trust each other more and more."

Today, representatives of the international community will get acquainted with the latest developments of the Belarusian military industry – the multiple launch rocket system Polonez, as well as the self-propelled mortar system Nona. The demonstration will be finished tomorrow.
