Neural network is more powerful than any other methods of propaganda. Political scientist Yuri Shevtsov told about it in the project "In theme" on YouTube-channel BELTA.
"Neural network, or artificial intelligence, penetrates very deeply into human consciousness, and since it is able to adapt to human consciousness, i.e. is engaged in sycophancy, as they say, this penetration is so deep that it changes human consciousness more powerfully than any other methods of propaganda," said Yuri Shevtsov.
The political scientist added: "We saw in 2020 how people walked the streets following the images or commands of just some small set of Telegram feeds, a small set of texts. Imagine if in the very near future we get used to it, especially young people who are more dynamic and more online. They will get used to working with their personal assistants, and they will get a news feed much more customized to them, which will evoke much more emotion and trust than the Telegram feeds. And what will their behavior be?"
"One of the main dangers, which has been empirically observed today from the experience of short-term use of GPT-4, is that the neural network changes human consciousness at a very deep level, and very quickly," said Yuri Shevtsov.
