Memory Party held in Belarusian State Philharmonics

22 октября 2018

Minsk continues to honor the dead and talk about peace. The Belarusian State Philharmonics hosted the "Night of Memory". Among the participants are those, who remember the tragic events of World War II, who managed to escape from the brutal machine of mass destruction of people. Ghetto prisoners came to Minsk from different parts of Belarus. Revelations, memories, and, of course, a prayer for the victims of the Holocaust were heard from the stage. The culmination of the evening was the ceremony of awarding medals to "The Righteou of the World". Representatives of two Belarusian families received awards for their ancestors, who during the war, risking their lives sheltered and saved Jews from death. A memorable decoration of the evening was the photo exhibition. This is a kind of reconstruction of bloody events. Tomorrow, the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liquidation of Minsk ghetto will continue in Minsk with an international forum dedicated to the Holocaust and a large-scale excursion to the places of the former Jewish ghettos.
