Ministry of Education: Rehearsal test results of are 10-15 points better this year

The results of the rehearsal testing have increased by 10-15 points this year as compared to the previous years. This was reported by Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets, as he answered the questions of the participants of "Leader. Creativity. Success," dialogue platform which was held today at the National Center for the Creative Arts of Children and Youth as part of the VII Republican Contest "Leader of the Year 2022." 

"We are now in the rehearsal testing stage. The new RTs for all the subjects are already being conducted according to the new style. At the moment there have already been 40 thousand man-tests, which is a third more than during the same period last year. It means that there's much more interest among high school graduates in the new final tests and, consequently, in the admission campaign," said Andrey Ivanets.

According to him, this year's tests have been significantly redesigned. "They have become totally different. They look more like an examination paper. The level of difficulty of the tasks corresponds to the basic level of difficulty. That is, the tasks of the fifth level of complexity were excluded from the tests, the number of tasks of the fourth level of complexity were reduced by a quarter. The results of the tests show that all the changes have been accepted positively enough, and the effectiveness of the tests increased by 10-15 points on average in comparison with the previous years," said the Minister of Education.
