New developments in the library industry are discussed and systematized at the international congress "Library as a Cultural Phenomenon". The forum in the National Library of Belarus brought together the library professionals from dozens of countries.
Viktor Pshybytko, Deputy Director General - Director for Information Resources and User Services of the National Library of Belarus:
“This is the largest discussion platform for the library industry of our country, where we discuss the problems and trends in the development of librarianship, the issues of electronic resources and, in principle, the resources of libraries. Since libraries today are the largest information centers. Within the framework of the congress we have planned an exhibition of publishing products, where both printed and electronic materials are presented. Therefore, everyone can come and familiarize themselves with interesting publications that are published in our country, but also abroad.”
Exhibition projects, round tables and dialog platforms will be bright events. It is also planned to sign documents on cooperation. The X International Congress is timed to coincide with the Year of Peace and Creation.
