Marina Vasilevskaya tells what emotions she felt when receiving the medal of the Hero of Belarus

On March 21, 2024, and all people over Belarus were breathing equally hard. Everyone understood, there, at the very top of the huge launch vehicle at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, there was a fragile girl, a Belarusian, which by then everyone called "our Marina".

The first launch was canceled literally in the last seconds before engine start. And only Marina Vasilievskaya was so concentrated, so collected and prepared psychologically, that at the moment of cancelation, Roscosmos recorded that her pulse was 66.

All Belarusians witnessed Marina Vasilevskaya shared her emotions and thoughts at the moment she was awarded the medal to the Hero of Belarus by Alexander Lukashenko.

“It is indeed a high honor for me. This is the most important award of the state - the Hero of the Republic of Belarus. And I, of course, let it all pass through me, through my soul. I am pleased to realize that I can do something for my country. I had tears from happiness, because there are other moments like this, of course.”
