Family values should be learned first of all by the example of parents, not during lessons. This point of view was expressed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the Belarusian Union of Women, BelTA informs.

The question of the deputy director of education Mozyr State Regional Lyceum concerned the preparation of a new curriculum. She asked the head of state whether there is a need to prepare children for family life not only in optional classes, but also to develop a curriculum aimed at forming a culture of family life among teenagers, preparation for marriage and responsible parenthood.

The President generally did not support such an initiative: "These are our values (you have listed them). They should be taken into account and mastered from the family, from the birth of a child until he or she matures and maybe until death. And there is no need for programs and lessons for this.

Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that all the above-mentioned topics, which form traditional family values in a person, were discussed earlier in Soviet schools. Only it was done somewhere between classes, before or after them, as well as in the family.

"It was a way of life. It is not necessary to allocate some hours and programs for this," the head of state said.

In modern schools, this, unfortunately, has almost disappeared. Therefore, the President does not mind if some kind of pro-family program is adopted.
