Licensing of medical activities considered by Belarus President

Licensing of medical services and the current epidemic situation in the country was discussed by the President, Minister of Health and Assistant to the Head of State. The Head of State met with Healthcare Minister Vladimir Karanik and Presidential Aide Alexander Kosinets to receive their reports. The reason for the meeting was the sphere of licensing of medical activity. The report of the Head of the Ministry of Health was extensive. There is a need to renew licensing requirements in the medical services market. The Ministry of Health suggested specifying the list of procedures for which licenses are required. When drafting the decree, they came from the assumption that it is necessary to develop the medical services market, not forgetting about the safety of citizens. The Minister has come to gain support. Last year, the business community took positive steps to improve licensing issues. Some licenses were canceled, requirements to private medical centers were softened, formal violations ceased to be a reason to stop the work.
